Leo stayed awake all night long, too worried to even think about sleeping. He saw a blinding light that flashed for about a second, then disappeared. He shook his head. It was probably nothing, he thought.

Annabeth stayed in her cabin for the next few days, refusing to come out. She spoke to nobody, and would become angry if anyone came near her.

Rose knocked on Bridget's cabin door. "Um, Bridget?"
Bridget opened the door. "Yeah?"
"I was wondering. . . I mean, I don't know much here. In fact, I don't know anything. . . Could you show me around?"
"Yeah, sure. Let's walk." Bridget led the way and was showing Rose the lake. "My favorite place." Bridget said. "Yours will probably be the garden."
"Garden?"
"Mm-hmm. It's a secret garden, though. I planted this one myself. It has roses, daffodils, daisies, apple trees, pear trees, all that good stuff." She smiled at Rose.
"Sounds pretty."
"Mm-hmm. You should love it."
"I probably will." Rose smiled.
"Yeah." Bridget led her to her secret garden. "A word to anyone and you'll regret it extremely. I swear it on the River Styx."
Rose gulped. "Got it."
"Good. Now, these are the roses. You can take one if you'd like. You know, since your name is Rose, I figure you would like roses. But, I could be wrong."
"I love them."
"Cool. And these are the sunflowers. My personal favorite. And of course, the daisies over there. And the beautiful blue bachelor's buttons. Pretty, huh? The satyrs love them. I made this garden for them. And in memory of Pan."
"I like them..."
"I figured. Now, that's the end of the garden." She took Rose's hand and left the garden. She went back to her cabin. "Wanna chill?"
"Uh, sure?"
"Okay. Let's go swimming!" She grabbed Rose and went to the lake. She jumped into the lake. "Coming?"
"I---I can't swim...."
"I'll teach ya!"
"Um, okay."
"Jump in!"
"Okay." She jumped in. bridget helped her with her swimming and she was swimming in less than ten minutes.

In a few days, Percy noticed that Leo was nowhere to be seen. He looked all over camp, but he couldn't find Leo anywhere. He iris-messaged Maddie, hoping she knew where he was.
