Maddie frowned. Maybe it's a car, she thought. What if it's a CAT?! "If you're a cat, go away! You can't bother me right now! And it's your loss if you ignore this, because I'm going to turn evil REALLY soon, and I might turn evil on you so you better run as fast as you can right now!!" Maddie yelled. "And I'm NOT joking!!!!!"

The red lights moved closer, until it was revealed that the red lights were the eyes of a large, bronze, mechanical dragon.
"Festus, wait up!" Leo's voice called in the distance.

"I was born to destroy the world, Leo. I was supposed to be extremely evil, and be really mean and cruel. But something went entirely wrong, because I'm not that mean. Either way, I'm going to turn evil. Maybe the gods thought insulting me and trying to kill me would make it better, but they're just making me angrier and angrier. They never did anything that was meant to help me, along with the entire society, and now I'm starting to see why I'm going to destroy the world." Maddie said.

The footsteps got close and closer, until Leo saw Annabeth running towards them. Her clothes were covered in cobwebs, and she appeared to be carrying something in a velvet bag. She ran past them, into the camp.
