The little girl rolled over, and tried to fall asleep.

"I dunno." Maddie said. " So last time, the puddle naturally blew up half the house. So it would probably be safe if I touched it." She touched the puddle, and there was a loud explosion. Although, when the dust cleared, Maddie was still standing there, frowning. "Hmm. Well, that was a failure." She touched it again, and the same reaction.

"Well, the workshop blew up," Maddie said. "So we have absolutely no materials. Either way, we have to go to bed. It's midnight."
"It's your fault the workshop blew up." Maddie's dad muttered angrily.
"Hey! And it's ALSO my fault half of Canada blew up! But you don't blame me about that, do you??" Maddie said.
Maddie's dad blinked. "I...I DO blame you about Canada blowing up....what?"
"Ha. I confused you." Maddie said, walking inside the house.

The little girl didn't fall asleep all night.

"You can sleep in the guest bedroom," Maddie told Leo, pointing to a room down the hall. She walked inside her room, and sat down on her bed, but didn't even try to fall asleep.

The little girl stared up at the ceiling of the tent, deep in thought.

Percy sighed. He hoped that he could just go back to camp.

"I wish I could, but I'm going to Kentucky soon for a race." Annabeth said.

The little girl's eyes wandered around the room, looking at her gun. She felt bad for Percy.

Maddie sighed and stared out the window. "Hey, Aphrodite, got a minute?" She muttered. "Can you let me be able to build the time machine? I don't want to let everyone down." She sighed and laid down. "I know you hate helping me, but I really need it right now. I'm worried that Leo is going to betray me, or I'll blow him up, or..." Maddie's voice faltered. "Just please, please, please help me. Tell me the truth this time."

The little girl finally fell asleep for a few minutes, but came awake out of nervousness.

"Can you give me a hint about what's going to happen?" Maddie said quietly. Nothing happened, then a voice quietly said: 'You're going to have to make a choice soon that will alter your life forever.' Then a pause, and a: 'No pressure.' Maddie sighed. "Well, thanks for the heads up...now I'm even MORE worried..."

Percy still wasn't able to fall asleep. He wished that he back at camp with Annabeth, Leo, Maddie, and all his friends.

Leo kept having nightmares all night. He nearly woke up.

"It has EVERYTHING to do with the Revolutionary war." Maddie said. She shivered. "Ugh. That was scary memories...yet, I was still the most feared soldier." She put her guitar in the corner of the room and sighed, sounding exasperated. She tied a bandage around her fingers.

The little girl ran to the mess hall. The food looked absolutely disgusting, yet she ate it quickly.
