The person was Percy. He was no longer a dragon. He was a normal demigod, just like he should be. He swung his sword at a hydra, looking more terrified than normal.

Maddie saw it was Percy, and jumped down from the tree. How was Percy not a statue? And how was he back to his demigod form?! Maddie just stood curiously for a moment, then said: "HI PERCY!!!" to test if it was really him.

Maddie wondered if it really was Percy, then just told herself it was. He looked dead on like Percy. "Dude, we got to get back to camp!" Maddie said. "And good job killing the hydra. I would've helped you, but I lost my knife in the ocean. Long story."

Still working on it. Anyways, we have to get back to camp. Do you remember you're a demigod? That'll explain the hydra."
