Maddie paused for a moment, then let the knife drop from her finger to her hand. On her finger was a cut from where the knife was, but Maddie didn't seem to care. "Yeah." She concluded, not looking so evil anymore. "I tried to murder Daniel."

Maddie silently stared at herself in her knife's reflection. She didn't look like something that would kill. She looked like a Barbie. Just a completely average person. Did average people kill other people? Well, Maddie thought. Sometimes in horror movies dolls kill people. Maybe you should stop watching horror movies.....

Maddie sat silently for a moment. She didn't even blink. She just remained motionless, staring at the sky. "I'm waiting." She muttered to it. "Say something, I'm giving up on you." She said quietly.

Maddie was at least glad she wasn't queen of the monsters anymore. Maddie stared at the trees. She rubbed the scar on her arm, shivering. She had no idea how she got that scar. All she knew was that she liked wearing long sleeves to cover it. But when you're alone, you don't have to hide anything.

Al grunted and nudged her, like, 'what's wrong?'
"Nothing." Maddie lied, patting Al's nose.
