Maddie looked at Daniel. His eyes weren't golden. What was wrong? Maddie hopped off the balcony railing. "Uhm....? I'm confused...?"
Daniel swung his sword at Maddie, and Maddie ducked. "What the frick, dude?!" Maddie looked angry. "What's wrong with you?!"

Daniel swung his sword again, this time hitting Maddie. Maddie stepped back. "Whoa..." She muttered. Then something clicked. The whole prophecy. "Wait..." She said. "You're the murderer?"
"Finally, you aren't so stupid." Daniel rolled his eyes, and swung his sword at Maddie again.

"She's no longer the goddess of the monsters." Daniel said. "She no longer has the river of styx. It makes things so much easier when I am more powerful...." He shoved Maddie against the railing.
Maddie was about to kill him, but there was a flash back. She knew Daniel forever. She couldn't just.....kill him....

"WELL YOU'RE PUSHING ME AROUND!!" Maddie screamed abruptly. "SO, YOU'RE JUST MAKING IT WORSE!"
"No one should be more powerful than me." Daniel scowled, and pushed Maddie off the building. Maddie grasped onto the railing desperately, dangling in the sky.

Maddie was silent. Daniel was with her forever...did he never care? That would mean she was useless....she was gullible. She fell for it again.

Maddie tried to say something, but the words choked in her throat. Her hands were beginning to hurt. Sweat coated them. Would she even physically be able to keep hanging on?

Maddie's dad frowned. "Okay.....then what do I do?"

The railing half-broke. It swung side to side. Maddie yelped. It was a very, very long drop....yeah, she decided. You would die. Horribly. It would hurt. Badly. Awful impact. But nothing worse than how you've been feeling today, Maddie thought. You're worthless. It's nothing to it. You would be better as a shadow. You can't do anything right.
