Maddie flicked off an earthworm from her jeans. "Someone just murdered my uncle and aunt." She said. She didn't mention the other part.

Maddie looked highly upset. Sure, she was sad about her aunt and uncle. But they were technically 'her aunt and uncle', they were her adopted-dad's brother and sister in law. But that wasn't even what Maddie was worried about. She was almost shaking in fear. "I got to go to their funeral. I'll be back in a few days..." Maddie said, crawling to her cabin to pack.

Maddie walked out of camp, every now and then falling down from falling off the empire state building. She came to Daniel's car. He wouldn't mind, Maddie thought.
"I hope I know how to drive." She muttered. ".....I REALLY hope so...."

Leo walked around camp, wondering what to do. He decided to talk to Annabeth. He walked to her cabin, and knocked on the door.
There was no answer at first, so Leo looked through the window. He saw Annabeth, who appeared to be packing, as if she was planning on going somewhere. "What are you doing?!" Leo shouted.
"I have to leave camp for a while." Annabeth replied.
"For what?!" Leo shouted.
"My dad wants me to come home for a while. He says he's worried about me." Annabeth said sadly.

Maddie jumped inside the car, and veered the engine. Like A G6 started playing immediately on the radio, and Maddie turned it up. She drove out of the forest, and to a faraway city in New York.

Maddie was sitting on the couch, talking to a girl. She had long black hair, dark eyes, and white skin. She looked kind of like Maddie- like a pretty little Barbie doll that will kill you in your sleep. "-it's creepy, I'll tell you that." She said.
Maddie frowned. "Whatever. Let's watch some none creepy T.V." She turned on the television, and a horror show was on.
"Well, this certainly isn't creepy." The girl scowled, chewing on some popcorn. "And this isn't extra butter!"

"I don't know." Maddie said nervously. "Everyone in my family seems to be dying lately."
"Yeah, I better not die." Arianna said. "That would be so creepy. At least I could escape all this drama." Arianna rolled her eyes and ate a piece of pizza. She flipped the channel, then jumped to her feet. "Holy cow! Maddie, the wrestling channel is on!"
Maddie got up, her eyes wide. "You serious? Omigod, it is!" She jumped up and down on the couch.
