"Your first day of school is today." Maddie's stepmom frowned. "No."
"Darn. It was worth a shot." Maddie said quietly.

Maddie's step mom whirled around, and Maddie threw a brick at her head. She fell down, unconscious.
"I always have a plan B." Maddie grinned. "Who's the idiot now, Mom? STILL ME!!! HA!!!"

"No." Maddie's dad said flatly.

"No."

"Okay, that is pretty good. But I'm coming up with a retort that will be so good, you'll be rendered powerless!" Maddie said. "So just wait! Because I'm coming! With an awesome retort!!! YEAH!!!!"
Maddie's dad rolled his eyes and waited for Maddie to come up with something. After a few minutes, Maddie just sighed.
"I got nothing. I just hate school. It's mind boggling! And camp is FUN!!!" Maddie said. "School isn't. There's a reason I either blew up or set all my schools on fire. It's because I hate it."

Maddie's dad frowned, and tried tugging Maddie in the door. Maddie planted her feet on the ground. Maddie's stepmom finally woke up. She angrily stomped over to Maddie. "Go inside. NOW." She said.
Maddie hung her head quietly for a moment, then suddenly looked her in the eye. "No." She said firmly.
