Daniel walked through the forest, looking for where Leo and Percy were.

Maddie cautiously walked into her closet. Her text said 'Look inside the closet.' She nearly had a heart attack. There was a glowing mirror inside. "AHH!!!" She shrieked.
"Calm down..." A voice hissed.
Maddie stared at the mirror. "Whoa..." She muttered.
She wasn't herself anymore. The mirror rippled and changed, and she once again had long, blonde curly hair, tan skin, and her eyes were no longer bloodshot. Even all her scars and dirt disappeared. She looked like she did six months ago. Even better. Maddie just stared, without speaking. Was that really her?

Daniel kept walking, until he finally saw Leo and Percy. "Leo!" He exclaimed. He ran to Leo and Percy.

"Uh..." Maddie stammered. "I really shouldn't be talking to mirrors....."
"Nonsense." The mirror said.
"Uh, no, it actually makes quite a lot of sense. All the mirrors that talk try to kill me...." Maddie said.
"But I'm here to HELP you."

Daniel nodded. "We have to get Percy back to camp."

Maddie stared for a moment. "How?"
"I could turn your life around." The mirror insisted. "This could be you. You wouldn't be the queen of monsters anymore. You would be....the goddess of beauty."
"Isn't that Aphrodite?" Maddie asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I could kick her off her throne."
"Okay, I would PAY to see that. But there's always a catch. So what's the catch?" Maddie asked.

The mirror rippled, and showed the camp being overrun by monsters.
"Whoa, that's scary." Maddie said, stepping back.
"Overrun the camp," The mirror said. "And you get my promise."

Leo looked at the top of the cliff. "She's over there."

Maddie didn't say anything. She looked down, anger boiling in her stomach. Her fingertips sizzled with power. The creases of the earth yet again began to split.

About sixty monsters rose from the earth, clawing to come out from Tartarus.
