"Don't ask." Maddie muttered, grabbing a sandwich at the dining pavilion and nervously eating it. Oh my gods, she thought. I didn't eat this week. She grabbed three more sandwiches and chugged down two glasses of water in two gulps.

"You'll freak out if I tell you." Maddie said, biting into her fourth sandwich. The Aphrodite kids gave her dirty looks. Maddie didn't know if it was because she was stealing all the sandwiches, eating the sandwiches like a pig, or sitting with Leo. Either way she didn't care.

So now she's really angry that I love you and I never did the Rite of Passage, so she keeps trying to kill you and me. Specifically you."
