Leo saw Maddie, but he didn't care about her right now. He ran to Daniel's cabin and pounded on the door.

Maddie ran to the forest. She grunted and closed her eyes in anger. Wrong move. Monsters grabbed at the earth, tearing it apart, rising. Maddie didn't feel scared. She was alone. The monsters went in the direction of camp, but Maddie made a horrible hissing sound. The monsters turned around, and stared.
"Yep." She muttered. "I'm Maddie." She said, and she swallowed hard, and whispered "Queen of the monsters."



Daniel opened the door. "What?!"

Daniel frowned. "Then let's go get him!!"



Maddie took out her knife shakily. "No one goes near camp. If you do, you die hard. Understand?"
A monster growled and snapped, making a deep cut in Maddie's arm.
"Silly monster. Pain doesn't hurt when it's all you've ever felt lately." She grabbed her knife, and killed it. "Who's next?"

"He's too far away." Leo said. He had an idea. He melted some ice and tossed a drachma into it. An iris-message appeared, showing Percy unmoving, nearly buried in snow.

"Percy!" Daniel exclaimed urgently. "Are you okay?"


The monsters shifted, and one growled.
"Excuse me?!?" Maddie yelled. "You dare defy me?"
A dead silence. Maddie turned, and realized she was in a circle of monsters. She winced. A bad situation. Don't worry, she told herself. If there's anything you've learned, you just got to pretend you're tough.

Maddie stared at every monster. "Now, if you all go back in Tartarus, I'll give you some candy. It's really delicious."
The monsters looked at each other, like 'Does she think we're idiots?'
Maddie frowned. "GO BACK IN TARTARUS!!" She shrieked in an ear-piercing voice. "NOW!!!"

Leo ran and ran until he saw that he was at the bottom of a cliff. He looked around frantically, and he saw a large pile of snow. He ran to it, and dug. He dug until he found Percy.
Percy was laying there, completely limp. His skin was cold and clammy.
