Maddie was still lying on the floor. Flames were burning on her clothes, and almost everywhere. Again, she was black with soot, and a look of fear was frozen on her face, but her eyes were closed.
"MADDIE!!! AHH!!!!!" Charlotte screamed. She fell to her knees and screamed again. Daniel rushed inside, pushing past the flames. It didn't matter if he got third degree burns. He wanted to get Maddie out.

Daniel nodded. He didn't say anything. It felt like someone ripped a part of his heart out. He knew Maddie since they were nine. They been through absolutely everything. Even on the darkest hours, Maddie would tell Daniel they would figure everything out, and the end isn't the end if it isn't happy. Today she got proven wrong. It was the end. And it certainly wasn't happy. The prophecy was true. Maddie did die when she was sixteen. And it felt even worse than Daniel imagined.
