Percy didn't care about the cut on his arm. He knocked Maddie's sword out of her hands and ran towards the flag.
Leo jumped out of the tree and ran towards Percy, but he was a second late.
Percy grabbed the flag right before Leo could push him away.

The forest was a lot scary at night. There was twists and turns, and Maddie soon had no idea where she was. She reached for her sword, but she realized she left it back at camp, where Leo was. Zeus knows where camp was.

Maddie couldn't hear Leo at all. She figured she probably wondered about three miles away from camp. Great. Then she heard a growling noise. Maddie turned, and a hydra stood, towering over her. She squeaked. "Uh oh...not good, not good!" She turned and began to run, although what she didn't know where she was running was even father away from camp.

The hydra chased Maddie, and Maddie turned around sharply. "Stop it!" She screamed at the hydra. "I will NOT be bossed around by....by an over sized LIZARD!"
The hydra growled, but Maddie just lifted her chin. "NO." She said, her voice sounding richer and more convincing.
The hydra snarled, but looked kind of confused. Maddie had the same sullen expression. "Back."
The hydra didn't do anything.
