Chris rolled his eyes. "...What did Daniel want?"
"We're going on a road trip to our doom," Maddie said.

Tara shoved several breath mints into Annabeth's mouth, and suddenly Moon jumped in and started brushing Annabeth's hair.
"Yup," Maddie said.
"Well, what's the plan?" Chris asked.
"We shall attempt to speak to Typhon and not get crushed. And then, if we do not die, we try to make a plan to destroy the gods. If we survive, we go through the plan to destroy the gods."
"And what then?"
"...We won't make it that far."

"You're so positive," Chris said.
"Hey, it's hard leading an evil army." Maddie rolled her eyes. "At least I get a spinny chair. Spinny chairs are swag. Never forget that, Chris."
