"It's not my fault Maddie doesn't understand flirting," Charlie said.
"She'll understand when she's older," Chris said.

After several minutes, Christiana foot slipped, and Charlie grabbed her waist. "You okay?"
"Uh...uh-huh," Christiana said awkwardly, and she tried to not let her hair catch on fire as Charlie let go of her and continued to climb.

Tara was confused, but she walked back to her cabin, too.
Nearly twenty minutes passed before they reached the surface. The air was cool but the sun shone really brightly, and Maddie looked annoyed by the sunshine.

Maddie took out a knife and sliced her palm. Maddie looked a little pained as she waited for the blood to drip onto the ground. Charlie cut his thumb, not even seeming to mind as red liquid started coming out of the cut.
