"The Romans are lazy," Austin muttered. "Naming their gods after planets."

Austin didn't seem to notice Annabeth, still looking at Charlie.
Charlie awkwardly took a gray kitten with a white mouth out of his coat and started to stroke it, which seemed to startle Austin.
"You've been carrying that this whole time?!" Austin asked.
"It's not a 'that,' it's a her who's name is Evelyn." Charlie rolled his eyes. "Maddie granted her with eternal life."

Charlie grinned, setting a concerned Evelyn down. Evelyn meowed mournfully, running around Annabeth as if she was sure she was dead.
Austin chuckled. "Evelyn looks upset."
"Yeah," Charlie said, and he randomly took a turtle out of his jacket, and set him on the ground. "I also have a turtle. His name is Frederick."
"Sure, why not?" Austin laughed.

Evelyn meowed, almost as if agreeing, and Frederick did nothing, for he was a turtle, and turtles did not do much.
