Maddie shrugged. "If I can't take my anger out on helpless civilians, who can I take my anger out on?" She did a very creepy smile, but it didn't look intentionally creepy, like it just came out creepy without her knowing.

Maddie stared at the gun in her hand. She didn't put it away. She just stared at it, her eyes glowing a bright red. Then she did a creepy smile, this time, maybe it was intentionally creepy. "No life form on Earth has any idea," She said to herself. "......But maybe somewhere beyond Earth...." She ran to the woods. She didn't come back that day.

"Either way, it looks like she's sort of dead.." The first girl said. She poked Maddie's right shoulder, and Maddie's eyes lit up. Not in a normal happy way, like, they LITERALLY lit up. Like flashlights.

"I did nothing! I just went like this!" The first girl yelled, poking Maddie again. Her eyes went back to normal.

Maddie looked at the camper waving the book around. She wasn't mad. She wasn't sad. She was tired. She was completely expressionless. She didn't have emotions at the time. She didn't feel pity. She felt...revengeful. She took out her gun. Without any thoughts, she shot the camper waving the book around in the air in the back of the head. She killed him.

For the next few days, Annabeth stayed in her cabin, trying not to freak out about the dead camper. Even though she hated him, witnessing it was horrid. She hadn't even gotten her book back. She was too scared to leave her cabin, in fear that the same would happen to her.

All Maddie's cabin mates stayed clear out of Maddie's path. In fact, pretty much every camper stayed at least a yard away from Maddie. Maddie didn't bother changing back to her blonde curly hair, or her tan skin. She didn't care. She was tired of pretending.
