"Ooh, that'll be really tough." Maddie said. "But I will try. As long as you try not to blow a blood vessel when I'm done." Maddie cleared her throat, and the words started pouring out: "I always looked like this since birth, but even before someone met me they just expected I was a murderer and left, which was true, very very true. But usually people give me a chance, you know? So one day when someone was ignoring me because they were afraid, I just got so angry, and I turned looking like this." Maddie changed back to her usual form. "But when I get really scared or when I'm alone, I look like this." Maddie changed to her true form. Maddie took a deep breath. "And there you have it."

Leo stared at Maddie, and his mouth hung open. He didn't say a single word. He heard some voices in the middle of the camp, and he listened carefully.
"Annabeth, why don't you just do something a normal person would do?!" A faint voice laughed.

The camper laughed. "I'm not going to deal with you." She turned to Annabeth. "You think reading books all day is going to help you make friends? Well, in case you haven't noticed, it's only making you look pathetic and weak."
"For your information, reading only makes people smarter." Annabeth said angrily.
"Oh, of course you would know that." The camper laughed. She then proceeded to call Annabeth a not so nice name.

The camper laughed, apparently not affected by Maddie's attempt to hurt her. "Oh, you're taking it farther than you need to, eh?"
"She's just trying to teach you a lesson." Annabeth said, smirking.
"Oh, the know-it-all wants to share her opinion. Well, you know what, nobody cares." Another camper said.

The second camper only laughed. "You can't stop us, you know."
"She could if she tried really hard." Annabeth said. "She's a good fighter."
"Nobody asked for your opinion, Annabeth." The first camper said.
"Well, I said it anyway." Annabeth smirked. "And there's nothing you can do about it."
"Oh, really?" The first camper said. He punched Annabeth very hard, giving her a bruise on he cheek, but it appeared to have no affect on Annabeth.

Maddie eyed the first camper that punched Annabeth. Her form twitched. Then it dissolved, but reappeared again, with long, straight black hair, blood red eyes, pale skin, and dark red lips again. Maddie hardly noticed, but she felt a little more evil, if that's possible. She grabbed the first camper's neck and pointed her pistol at his forehead in about three seconds. She held onto his neck tightly so he couldn't squirm out of her grip, and pressed the pistol harder against his head.
"I've been in prison, and don't think I'm afraid to go back." Maddie growled, her voice moody and creepy.
