There were trees everywhere in the iris-message, but all of them were dead. Wherever Maddie walked, everything died and shriveled. She looked like herself again, but she was crying as she walked. She didn't notice the iris-message.

There was a loud yell, and Maddie stopped short and turned, her eyes wide. Then the iris-message disappeared.
"Well, on that happy note, let's get to Cincinnati!!" Daniel exclaimed.
