Daniel got a text on his phone, and he peeked down. When he saw the address, his eyes widened. He read the text, then quickly put away his phone and acted like nothing happened.

Stalking you to make sure you don't tell 😮 My face is dripping blood on the screen. Darn it. Now I need to clean it. Anyways, don't tell anyone, 'kay? Stalking you again 😮 Watching you. Hydra just bit my head. Whatever, I got a lot of time on my hands. Make sure no one comes looking for me, okay? Reassure them I'm dead. See you in a year. Text me back!'

Daniel looked down the hole, and thought: 'What the heck. Let's do this.' He jumped in after Annabeth. What was Tartarus like? Well, if Maddie survived about seven times in there, he could probably survive a short trip.
