Leo nodded. He dragged Annabeth to the infirmary. "Hang in there, Annabeth. We're gonna help you."
Annabeth was clinging onto the last bit of life she had. She could feel the energy bleeding out of her, and each breath felt like it would be her last.

Daniel nodded worriedly. "Daughter of Athena shall cover the land with ice, Daughter of Aphrodite and the monsters shall rise, Son of Ares shall try to destroy the rant, but has no chance. I really hate that last part." Daniel said nervously.

Daniel stared at Annabeth. Why was ice forming around her? Maybe he would ask her when she woke up.

Maddie hardly looked like herself. She was already covered in bloody scars all over, and her skin turned a sickly pale from no sun and blood loss. She chopped off five inches of her hair with a black knife she found sitting around so it wouldn't stand in her way if she had to fight. If Maddie had an angel on one shoulder, and a devil on the other, she would probably look like a twin to the devil. She didn't feel scared, though. She felt good. Finally, she thought. It'll work out smoothly. Everything's going as planned. No one will find out. No one will get hurt.
