Maddie turned to go to her cabin, but Daniel grabbed her arm. "Wait."
"What?!" Maddie hissed.
"I'm not letting go until you tell someone. You need to get it out." Daniel said.
Maddie thought for a moment, then immediately began biting her arm.
"What are you doing?" Daniel asked.
"Gnawing my arm off." Maddie mumbled between chews.

Daniel finally let Maddie go back to her cabin since it was night, but Maddie had horrible flashbacks. Her own imagination was beginning to scare her. She decided to put an end to this. No, not killing herself. The real end. She was going to tell someone. Whether she had to run away from camp afterwards or not.

"Before I came to camp, I was a thief." Maddie sighed. "I knew I was a demigod, but I ignored it. Then one day, I was walking down a path. I didn't see them, but they saw me. I got killed. And...." Maddie swallowed hard. "That was three hundred years ago. I remember before I died, my boyfriend told me 'Don't worry! I'll bail you out of the underworld!' Well, three hundred years later, I'm still in there!! Then, a few years ago, my 'dad' bailed me out. He adopted me, I don't know why. Maybe Aphrodite told him her child was still stuck in here for 300 hundred years."

"I know, it's confusing." Maddie sighed. "So technically, I am three hundred and sixteen years old. I met Daniel one day when he was trying to summon his grandpa. He summoned me as a ghost, and we walked around talking for hours. He tried bailing me out, but every time he failed. But the worst part was when I found out my boyfriend wasn't coming for me, I decided I never wanted to trust anyone again. I never wanted to love anyone again, or think that people are coming for me. I tried be positive, but....I just....I felt useless. Like, I'm just staging who I am."

Maddie nodded. "Ok." She said. She didn't feel much better, though. When she looked in the mirror, she couldn't seem to get herself wrapped into herself. When she looked into it, she thought, 'This is the fugitive that's supposed to be dead.' She groggily got out of her cabin.

Maddie walked to the breakfast table and grabbed a cold bagel. She looked in the mirror, and she could have sworn she saw Lauren. When she blinked, she saw herself again. Scary. She ran to her cabin, having the urge to scream. She held it back until she stuffed her face into her pillow, then displayed her third-loudest scream ever.
