Daniel came out of his cabin to say goodbye to Maddie. "Hey." He said.
Maddie turned. "H-hi..."
"I'm going to miss you." Daniel said.
Maddie nodded and hugged Daniel. "You're like the older brother I never had. I'm going to miss you."
Daniel nodded, close to crying himself. "You'll do great."
Maddie didn't say anything. She wasn't so sure.

"Give....give this to Leo." Maddie said, handing Daniel a card. "If you look at it I'll break your neck off."
"I can't imagine you going to this fancy boarding school." Daniel said.
Maddie smiled a bit, which made Daniel feel good.
"Hey, promise me one thing." Daniel said.
"What?" Maddie asked.
"Stay insane, ok?"
Maddie nodded and smiled. "Bye."

"Turn the freakin' radio off." Maddie demanded. "I'm already depressed enough without Leo."

Maddie finally got to the school in the morning. She fell asleep in the car, and her hair was a mess.
"Maddie, wake up. We're here." Maddie's dad said.
Maddie sighed and got out and walked inside. She stared around the school. Too fancy. Too girly. Too sane. This place was worse than the underworld to Maddie.


Daniel didn't sleep the whole night. He kept thinking about Maddie.
