"You know what I always say," Maddie said. "Something stupid. Maybe it's a stupid tarantula or something. But by the way she won't tell you, maybe it's something scary or creepy instead of something stupid. I doubt it, though. Stupidity is always the way to go."

"It might be. If it was normal bad, like the world almost being destroyed, then she wouldn't tell you. If it was super, super bad, like..." Maddie thought for a moment, then looked down at her pudding cup, then looked back up at Leo. "Like if I ran out of this pudding, she would probably tell you soon enough."

(Well, Maddie is in California, so that might be a problem if you're at camp. But you can pretend you're also in California, so then you can talk to her. Maddie won a contest, that's why she's in California, btw.)
"No problem." Maddie said, tossing the pudding cup in a trash can. "Score!" She exclaimed when she hit it dead on.

One day, Maddie looked out her window and saw Bridget. She was tired of talking to the kids who won, because only Jake and Olivia were nice, and the other ones played pranks on others to make sure they won. Maddie once woke up to find her wrist was glued to her sheets. It took a long, painful hour to tear it off. Maddie walked up to Bridget. "Um, hello." She said. "I'm Maddie."
