"Well, Leo found a parchment, that an image of a spider kept appearing on. So I was like 'Hey, since Annabeth recently got a bad prophecy, maybe she and the parchment are connected!'" Maddie said proudly. "I figured it out!" She dug her spoon in her pudding cup. "Darn it. I ran out. Aaaaand my making sense streak is gone."
"Miss Hills, you are on in one minute!" A voice yelled angrily. "You can't go on in jeans!"
"What do you expect me to do? Go on in a dress?" Maddie laughed. "So not happening."

Maddie began playing Honeymoon Avenue on her guitar. She sang along to it too, but she was very nervous, hoping she wouldn't mess up.
