Aphrodite reached down and grabbed Zeus's thunderbolt, which kind of proved that Maddie and Aphrodite were on the same page when they got angry. She threw it at Leo, but Maddie immediately jumped in the way.

Maddie, for some reason, immediately opened her eyes. "I'm unshockable." She muttered. "My turn." She grabbed Zeus's thunder bolt, and threw it as hard she could at Aphrodite. From two lightning bolts, Aphrodite tumbled over from her throne. Boy, she looked mad. "And now," Maddie said. "We might have to run."

Aphrodite grimaced, and threw another thunderbolt at Maddie, baffled why she didn't die. Maddie caught it in her hand. "You're just scared that I'm stronger than you, aren't you Aphrodite?" Maddie asked. "That's why you're trying to kill me."
"There must be some way!" Aphrodite muttered.
