Daniel grabbed Percy's arm, and dragged him to the infirmary.

Maddie opened her eyes, but she was no longer in the lake. Where WAS she? A girl was poking her.
"Hey, hey, hey, hey!" She said. "Wake up!"
Maddie's vision was fuzzy, but she could make out an outline. The girl had long hair, and looked strangely familiar.
"Charlotte?" Maddie asked. "I thought...I thought you were a ghost!"

Maddie had no idea how Charlotte knew her whole life story, but she just nodded and smiled politely. "Mm-hmm. I'm fine."

Maddie appeared in front of Camp Half blood. What the heck? She looked down at her hair. It was straight and red. She took out a mirror. Her skin was pale, and her eyes were brown. This was very strange.


"Percy!" Daniel exclaimed. "are you okay?!"

Maddie took a deep breath. She tried running over the facts of 'her': Her name was Bella. She was sixteen, and her birthday was a day before her real birthday. If someone asks about your past, change the subject. She hoped she was still a daughter of Aphrodite. Yet, she didn't. She knocked on the infirmary door, hearing Percy's voice in there.

She wished she could tell them she was Maddie, but she couldn't. She stared down at her shoes, and nearly had a heart attack. She had a DRESS on! Gross.
