"Aha!" Maddie did a creepy smile. "It worked. At EXACTLY midnight, sneak into her room. Switch off the lights, then turn them back on when you are in front of her and whisper 'I'm watching you, Annabeth.' Then turn them off again, and bolt out of the door."

Leo ran to his cabin, and he returned a few minutes later with a spider mask. He slipped it on, and looked through the window. Sure enough, Annabeth became terrified.

Maddie nodded. She walked to the forest, the usual place she went when she was bored. She climbed up a tree, and hung upside down. Soon a minotaur showed up, and she nearly screamed when she realized it was Al.
"Yo, Al. How are you?" Maddie asked.
Al grunted.
"That's good. I'm not doing too well. I'm kind of worried about the whole Monster-Queen thing. Any suggestions?"

"No, Al, I can't kill everyone." Maddie rolled her eyes. "When I'm trying to prove everyone I'm not a devil, that only makes it worse."
Al grunted again.
"No, Al, I can't eat cupcakes until I'm super fat. I tried it before, I'm just naturally skinny. You know, you're pretty horrible at advice." Maddie said.

"Ugh. Whatever." Al said, in a voice like Maddie's.
Maddie fell off the tree on her head, but she didn't care. "You...you can TALK?!?"
Al grunted, and looked confused like he was thinking 'Der, I can talk. What do you expect?'

"Okay." Maddie climbed back on the tree and hung upside again like a bat. "Hey, want a cupcake? You look hungry."
Al grunted. Maddie tossed him a cupcake. "They're a little sweet. I like scooping sugar on them." She smiled. "Sometimes when I give it to people on a diet, they look like they're going to have a heart attack. Ha! It's hilarious."
