Leo was curled up in the corner, fast asleep. He was gripping his wrist, his fingertips spotted with blood.
Annabeth soon began snoring, looking peaceful in her sleep.

Maddie scowled, hoping Leo didn't cut his wrist, and then hoping he wasn't dead. She gently pulled Leo's hand away from his wrist, trying not wake him.
Celeste smiled, and a few minutes later, she fell asleep, too.

Leo kept sleeping, and there was a slightly deep cut on his wrist.
Annabeth kept sleeping, only waking up occasionally the next day. On the morning of her birthday, she slept in late.

Maddie frowned. She was positive she was calm until she suddenly found herself crying. She didn't know why, because she had seen cuts on people's wrists tons of times, but it felt so different to see it on Leo.
Celeste went outside to pick Annabeth some flowers, and bought her a signed copy of Mockingjay.
