"I'm sorry!" Maddie cried. "I meant to tell you, but I just didn't know how."
"My dear Leo, you and I were never responsible for your mother's death," Gaea murmured. "Go ahead and kill the daughter of death."

"I didn't know what I was doing!" Maddie insisted desperately. "Please-!" But then Maddie suddenly turned to dirt, and Gaea sleepily smiled.

"I think that's the least of our worries," Willow snapped. "She betrayed us, and we have to find Steve on our own now and our own way back to camp."
