After several hours, they entered a large neighborhood with average, nice looking houses. Maddie stopped in front of a brown one, and knocked on the door. "Just as a warning, Charlie's sister hates me and his little brother has a crush on me."
"Wait, what?" Celeste asked.
Maddie shrugged. "Nothing I can do about it."

A girl who looked a few years older than them opened the door, wrinkling her nose at Maddie. She had jet black hair reaching just below her shoulders, pale blue eyes, and fair skin, despite Charlie's creepily pale skin. "Charlie isn't here, and Mom is in the hospital again. Are you here to deal drugs or steal something?"
"No," Maddie said. "We're looking for a place to stay for a bit."
"Please," Celeste added.
