"Steve?" Celeste asked.
"Well, his name isn't actually Steve. I can just never remember his name. Serious ADHD," Maddie muttered. "It's some weird Greek name...it's been a while since I've had Greek food. I wonder if-"
"Maddie!" Celeste urged. "Snap out of it!"
"Sorry," Maddie said quietly. "Apparently, his girlfriend broke him out. He's been locked up in the Fields of Punishment for twenty years for genocide and other...stuff."

"And some other things, like making people commit suicide," Maddie muttered.
"How do you make someone commit suicide?" Celeste asked.
"It really isn't that hard," Maddie said. "Human brains are weak. They break down under the tiniest insult, questioning their existence on a mean comment."

"What do you want us to do about this...Steve?" Celeste asked.
"Aside from having the least thoughts of murdering all of you and sparing your fragile lives when I take over, Annabeth's smart, you melt people's hearts, and Leo has his fire ability and the coolio building skills. He's hot, too."
"What?"
"Anyway, you don't have to do it, and by that, I mean I'm forcing all of you to help me get Steve back into the Underworld before he causes more chaos."
