After everyone was gathered, Chiron began to speak. "I'm sure we all know what's happened to New York by now. The Romans have called off our peace treaty, and are acting quite strangely. Celeste has reported that Octavian is now leading the Romans."
"That guy is messed up!" Clarisse said. "Why would they ever appoint him again?!"
Chiron shook his head. "We're not sure. We have chosen Maddie as our leader of the Greeks."
A few people clapped, and Maddie hid her head, blushing.

Charlie raised his eyebrows. "I'd like to see you try."
"This just got real," Chris smirked.

"It's time for her to make some decisions," Chiron said.
"Oh, gods," Moon said. "We're all going to fricking die."
Chiron gave Moon a dirty look, and continued. "The Romans bombarded our city. They've tortured demigods and innocent people. We could do the same to San Francisco."

"Of course it is, sweetheart," Charlie said mockingly.

"Gee, thanks Chris," Charlie rolled his eyes.
