"I'm Chris," Chris said.
"Yeah," Charlie said. "We're so tight. We're totally buddies."

"Nah, more like a chick flick where all the guys wear their shirt with the first button undone," Charlie said, and did a seductive voice. "Oh, Monica, I'll never let you go."
"Who's Monica?" Chris asked.
"My character let her go," Charlie laughed.

Maddie looked down, and walked away.

"Probably because it's the middle of winter," Chris said. "You're welcome to come inside." He did a creepy voice. "Get into the house, kids. There's free candy."

Chris laughed, and unwrapped a Tootsie roll. "Maddie gave me the candy."
Charlie's eyes widened. "Dude, Maddie HILLS gave you that candy?!" He smacked the Tootsie roll out of his hand in slow motion. "Noooooo!"

Maddie also thought about Annabeth, feeling sad and lonely. She thought about Percy, and suddenly felt sadder. After a few hours, she walked to Percy's cabin and knocked on his door.
