Maddie slammed the Hades cabin door shut, feeling beyond angry. She slammed her foot into the ground, and the ground under it cracked, and a bony hand reached out. Nearly jumping out of her skin, Maddie pushed the hand down, trembling.
"Control yourself," she muttered.

"I suppose we can eat together, though," Celeste said. "I'm starving from working all day."

Maddie didn't respond. Still shaking, she sat down in her bed that resembled a coffin. She began to realize why.
