Maddie kept running. She was shaking so badly, she fell down. Thoughts began flashing in her mind, but she couldn't focus on any. All she could think about was she was lying in the forest at midnight where no one could hear her scream with an old friend after her to murder her. People tried to kill her in her sleep a lot, but she never suspected Percy. She stared at the ground, lying crippled on her knees.

Maddie jumped, and immediately recognized that voice. Daniel. Maddie was about to start going ninja on him, when something clicked.
"You put him up to this." Maddie said, looking at Daniel. "Didn't you?"
"He could've killed you quickly." Daniel glared at Percy. "But you dropped your sword, and let her get away. Well, Maddie, I guess what they say is true, because no matter how much you run, you can never ever hide."

Percy hissed again, tired of what he was hearing. He was in the form of a poisonous snake. He could kill her so easily. He bit Maddie's arm right away.

Maddie looked down at the bite. "That won't work." She said, smiling a bit.
Daniel looked furious. "What do you mean? Percy is poisonous!"
"You can't kill me with my own power." Maddie said, rolling her eyes. "This is first grade stuff, Daniel. Keep up."
"Then turn into a lion and swallow her!" Daniel screamed at Percy.

Percy did what Daniel said. He turned into a lion, and lunged at Maddie, repeatedly biting and scratched her.

Percy attacked Daniel for a few more minutes, and he turned back into a human. "Really? I think it's you who's the evil one." He hoped that nobody asked about the shape shifting, but since nobody asked for a while, he felt like it wouldn't happen, but it still might... He hoped not.
