Daniel checked his clock. "It's a little bit earlier to do it. I would wait until midnight, or really late at night. She's usually asleep then." He walked back to his cabin without another word.

Percy waited until midnight, and he walked quietly to Maddie's cabin, and looked through the window, hoping that she was asleep.

Maddie was curled up tightly in her bed, and her eyes were scrunched tightly together and she was shaking a bit, like she was having a bad dream. She whimpered a bit, and scrunched into a tighter ball.

Percy grinned, and crept inside. He took out his pen and uncapped it, and it made a louder sound than he would've liked. It was loud enough to wake the entire cabin.

A few girls snapped awake. "What was that?"
Maddie awakened, but she didn't even open her eyes. "It was nothing." She yawned. "My bomb probably went off or something."
"You're BOMB?!" A girl said, going back under her covers.
"I'll tell you later." Maddie said, yanking her blanket over her head. "G'night."

Percy didn't move. He stayed completely still, but his nervous breathing could be heard, and he was angry at himself for it.

Maddie heard Percy's nervous breathing. She thought about the loud noise, and her dream. She slowly threw the blanket off of herself, and looked around the room. She spotted Percy. She waved tiredly, relieved. "Oh, it's just you. What are you doing-" She looked at Percy's sword, then back up at him, then at his sword, then back at him. She was paralyzed.

Maddie didn't say anything. She felt like shrieking for help, but the shriek died in her throat. Maddie looked around, but the room was so dark, she couldn't see her knife. What good would it do, anyways? Percy had a sword, and she only had a knife.

Percy walked closer to Maddie, and he held his sword at her throat. He looked like he was definitely going to kill Maddie, but fear showed through his eyes.
