"Me neither." Maddie said. She felt disturbingly happy. Why do you feel like that, she thought. For the last month, it felt like chains have been weighing down her every move, and she had to watch every word she said. But it felt like someone took a chain saw- her favorite dangerous weapon, along with dynamite- and ripped them off.

"Hm?" Percy asked. "What do you mean?"

Leo felt glad that he was going to fight with Maddie. He knew for sure who would win- they would win. Typhon would lose. He had to. If he didn't... well, Leo forced himself not to think about losing. He thought of positive things, like winning, and how Annabeth might calm down. Hopefully she would calm down. Leo had never seen Annabeth act so crazy, and he refused to let her stay like this. If Annabeth didn't calm down, he would make her. But how? He chose not to think about that quite yet.

"Like yiou know, since its almost Christmas? We can have a Christmas dance. Where like couples dance together?" Laiea explained.
"Woot woot were back!" Connor cheered running to Percy's cabin to say hi. Travis followed. They walked in and saw Percy with two girls.
"Ooh you've got some hooooot girlfriends." Travis yelled.

Leo found himself smiling. He wasn't sure why, but he felt happy. What could possibly make him happy at a time like this?!

Annabeth continued to walk towards the noise. She wasn't scared, yet she wasn't calm. She gripped her spear tightly, hoping she wouldn't have to use it.

"Oh." Percy said.

Maddie saw Leo smiling, and she felt better. Maybe she wasn't the only one who felt fine. She grasped her knife, feeling like she was finally in control of her life again.

"I'm not sure." Maddie said. The buzzing noise got louder, then a million shards of glass exploded. Maddie's eyes widened and she covered her head as the glass shards flew in every direction.

Annabeth did the same. She heard her spear hit the ground.

Maddie suddenly felt a little fear. "That might not be a problem..." She whispered. A gigantic coffin, about ten feet tall, suddenly towered above them. Maddie stared at it curiously. "This is going to be the most stupid thing I ever done." Maddie muttered. She grabbed the door of the coffin and flew it open.

Annabeth heard growling in the distance. She turned around and saw a dragon crawling closer to her. She sent ice blasting in all directions, including close to Maddie and Leo.

"Connor and Travis." Percy said.

Maddie stepped back as a gust of air came from the coffin. A gas-no, a solid. No, a gas?-came out of the coffin. Maddie stared at it curiously again, stupidly not turning to run or killing it.
"Well," Maddie said. "Good news! We found Typhon!"

Maddie followed Leo. Her heart beat in her head, sending way too much blood then Maddie thought was necessary. Typhon chased after, and swung his weapon. Maddie screamed.

Leo ran faster, his heart pounding. He ran into Annabeth. "RUN!!!" He shouted at her.
For the first time in a while, Annabeth looked terrified. She ran as fast as she could with her spear.
Percy left his cabin without saying anything.
