Leo heard another roar, and he ran towards the sound. He ran until he saw Percy.
Percy was laying in the river, looking like he had been electrocuted.

Daniel ran towards Percy. "Are you okay?!"


Maddie woke up with a start. Blood trickled from her forehead. She couldn't care less though. Her eyes darted across the room. She's seen too many things. She wanted to run really fast, but she could barely get up with her broken bone. Don't be such a wimp, Maddie thought. Broken backs aren't a big deal. She fell on the floor, and crawled out of the infirmary. Rain poured on her, and she grew sleepy. She fell down on the wet dirt, trying to get up.

( Sorry people. I was thinking of you guys all day yesterday, Maddie blew up my internet connection, but Leo fixed it this morning. I practically pushed my mom down the stairs to get to the computer )

"W-we have to get him back to camp." Daniel said shakily.


Maddie laid motionless for a second, then closed her eyes and let the rain patter on her. I need help, she thought.
"Please..." She murmured. "Someone help me."
She saw Abby walking up.
"Oh gods no..." She muttered.
"What the Hades are you doing out here with a stupid broken bone! Get up!" Abby scolded.
"Abby, I can't..." Maddie murmured. "Please.."
Abby stared for a moment, then did something that really surprised Maddie. She grabbed Maddie's hands and helped her up.

Daniel grasped Percy's leg, and began slowly dragging him to camp.


"Why are you being nice to me?" Maddie muttered.
"Ah, I was afraid you were going to ask that. Come with me." Abby said.
She pulled Maddie out of camp, and deep into the forest. There was a man standing there. He looked about forty. He had blonde hair, and was short and skinny. He looked kind of like Maddie. Maddie stared for a moment, then her jaw dropped.
"D-dad?" She whispered. She turned to Abby. "Is that...D-dad? Our real dad?"
The man stared at Maddie, then smiled a bit. "You haven't changed a bit over three hundred years."
