Maddie just smiled. "Ok then. Thanks Dad. Do you want to say hi to Abby when I get her back?"
Maddie's dad laughed. "I rather spend another day in the underworld. Be careful with her, okay?"
Maddie nodded. "Thanks." She turned on the portal, and in a few seconds, Percy and she were in San Francisco.

"Now," Maddie said. "We find Abby. She says she's getting attacked by a monster. She's good at every possible thing in the universe, except fighting." Maddie said. It was hard to hear, but it sounded like there was jealousy in her voice.

"She's somewhere around here....probably around the forest." Maddie said, her voice now sounding cold, like she really didn't care if they didn't save her twin sister in time. "Let's go." She began running towards the forest.

Maddie kept running, until she heard a shriek. "Yep. That's Abby." Maddie said. She ran until she accidently ran into a girl that looked like a mirror reflection of Maddie, yet with little differences that were hard to pick out. Maddie kind of looked more like she couldn't care less if she looked pretty, while Abby looked like she would spend hours in her room just to fix her hair.
"Ow!! Watch it!!" Abby yelled. "Why did you come so late?"
"Love you too, sis." Maddie rolled her eyes.

"Whatever. I outran the minotaur." Abby said.
"Okay. Then let's go." Maddie said.
"Which way is home?" Abby asked.
"I got a portal." Maddie said. "It'll take us to camp half-"
"Do I have to share a room with you?!" Abby asked. "Just because I'm your sister doesn't mean I want to see you!!!"
Maddie lowered her head, and her shoulders tensed, which she never done before. "Yeah, we do. Now let's go."

"Why is there a stupid bear here?" Abby asked, clearly annoyed.
"That's Percy." Maddie said.
"Percy? Can I just call him Bear? Why do you name animals, anyways? You're really bad at it. Like our Chihuahua, named Taco? Ew. Why Taco? It's so stupid." Abby said.
"We have to get to camp." Maddie said quietly. "Let's go."
She opened the portal, and in a few seconds, the portal was gone, and they were at camp.

When Abby got to camp, she was smiling brightly. "Pleasure to be here!"
"Um, Abby, drop the act." Maddie said. "We all know you're a jerk."
"What? I would never be a jerk." Abby smiled, but Maddie saw an evil glint in her eye, like 'this is how we're going to play.'
Maddie frowned. "Shut up."

"I would never. Excuse me to speak with my sister, please. ALONE." Abby grabbed Maddie's arm and hauled her off to the Aphrodite cabin, with Maddie looking at Leo like 'Help me.'

Abby hauled Maddie into the Aphrodite cabin, and locked the door. "What do you have to say for yourself?"
"For ME?!" Maddie yelled. "You're the one with the stupid act! Can you just drop it?!"
Abby laughed. "Why? It's too fun. I could have pretended I was you and said you were the crazy sister."
"You better not." Maddie said.
"Maddie, it's time you learned. I always get what I want. And you...." Abby just shook her head. "You just don't. And you know why?"
Maddie didn't say anything.

"No, you're not." Maddie said quietly, looking down.
"Oh? Is that so?" Abby looked annoyed. "I can play hard ball, and you know it. I could tell everyone-"
"no!!" Maddie yelled desperately. "..Don't...."
"See? That's why I am the winner." Abby said. "Now stay out of my way." She grabbed Maddie's first picture of Daniel and Maddie, and threw it in the fire. Maddie stared as it disintegrated into a pile of ashes.
