Daniel slashed his way through two minotaurs and three hydras, but he soon ran out of energy.
"Okay," He muttered, seeing 15 pairs of eyes staring at him hungrily, not counting the extra heads of a few monsters. "Now you run." He turned and took off.

Daniel ran through the forest at top speed, feeling like an idiot since he was born for war. But he didn't care. He was going to get killed out there. What if everyone else got killed?

Maddie fell down flat on her back, rubbing her head. "Oh gods..." She muttered. She was completely drained of energy from summoning the monsters. "Look out!!" She yelled weakly. "Monsters!" She could barely keep her eyes open.

"Ugh.." Maddie moaned. She looked around, seeing the monsters punching holes in a few cabins and roaring into them. Maddie dragged herself to her feet, mustering every bit of energy. She stared at the horrid scene.

"Stop.." Maddie muttered, holding up her hands. "Please stop!"
The monsters didn't listen.
"Just stop!" Maddie pleaded, her voice stronger. "I don't want to hurt anyone!"
It was too late to say that, though, because a lot of the cabins were already mangled and people were running out, screaming.

Percy saw the monsters, and he charged towards one and killed it by biting its neck.

Maddie stared, pleading Leo was okay. "Stop!!" She yelled. "Stop!!!"
A few monsters turned, but they only paused, they didn't stop.
You have to overcome it, Maddie thought. You have to be the boss. So what if you're not what you wanted? You're the only thing that can stop it.

Percy killed a few more monsters. His energy was drained out him, but he kept on fighting. He wouldn't stop until all the monsters were dead.

There were only ten monsters left, but they were causing great destruction. One lit a cabin on fire.
"STOP!!!" Maddie yelled. She so badly wanted to kill one, but she knew it was hopeless without the River of Styx.

Two monsters turned to face Percy. Maddie ran in front of a monster that was breathing fire. Fire whizzed past Maddie, turning her hair on fire.
"STOP!!!" She screamed. Her voice sounded horrid, like a drakon mixed with Hades. "JUST STOP IT!!!!!"
Maddie was extremely surprised when the monster backed up, then disintegrated.
