Maddie didn't want to lose the hydra's attention, so she didn't respond. "Now, I think you very well know I don't have a sword, right?"
The hydra growled.
"Well, that leaves me pretty defenseless and stupid, right? But that doesn't leave me powerless. See what I'm doing? It's charmspeak. And it's rendering you powerless." Maddie told the hydra.
The hydra growled and snapped at Maddie, but Maddie glared at the hydra. "I'm still going to kill you, you know."

Leo gave up. "If you won't kill it, I will." He sent large flames at the hydra and killed it.

Maddie shrugged, like it wasn't a big deal. "Eh. I did it a few times. Usually it's like: 'Hey dude, sorry I killed are you friends and sent them to Tartarus.' And then the monster is like 'No problem man, I mean, I beat up plenty of your friends.' And then I'm like 'Ha ha!' That's usually when I kill the monster, or I sneak away."
