Maddie shook her head. "No, Luke is coming." She said nervously. Her face dropped to the scariest pale-green, only when she's dying or feeling like dying her face looked like that. "Get ready!" She barked, sounding bossier than Clarrise at her angriest. "Prepare for the worst!!!!" She held her sword tightly.

Monsters charged at Maddie. She bashed them, killing about eleven in one minute. Although, she didn't even smile at her fighting. She looked like she was trying not to cry.

Maddie saw a hydra. She took off running, and she pulled herself up onto it's back. It screamed and shook her, but Maddie saw a chink in it's tough skin. It turned and snapped at her, biting her arm. Maddie yelped angrily, tears forming in her eyes. It hurt more than anything. She fell twenty feet down, onto her back. She closed her eyes and waited for the hydra to bite her again.
