Maddie looked over her shoulder at them, and tried to keep a straight face. "What are you doing?"
"Doing your quest," Celeste said. "That we didn't want to do. For you."
"Well, I'm sort of trying to keep the zombie apocalypse from happening," Maddie said.

"If he gets free," Steve said. "Which he won't. That's the sort of rope Hephaestus dealt with."
"These are the kinds of scissors I snip people's necks off with," Maddie said. "Just shut up, okay?"

"I'm in a bad mood!" Maddie shouted, clenching her fists.
Celeste glanced at Annabeth, concerned.
