Maddie grabbed a Sherlock DVD, and ran to the checkout. A mother in line grabbed her child and gave Maddie a disturbed look, walking away quickly.
"Maddie, they're scared of you," Celeste muttered.

Maddie raised her gun and tried to shoot Annabeth, but Willow swung out at Maddie, hitting her hard in the head. Maddie looked dizzy for a moment, then fell down, unconscious.
Celeste scowled. "Is she dead?!"
"I didn't hit her that hard," Willow said. "Someone help me pick her up."
"I don't think you'll need any help," Celeste said. "I've carried cats bigger than her."
