"But this is harder." Maddie sighed. "In Tartarus, I could fight everything. If I didn't like something, I just stabbed it or touched it to make it die. Now I'm helpless. All I can do is jam medicine down my throat, but it doesn't help! I used to go through life killing everything that makes me mad, but I can't do that with cancer. All it does is kill me." Then Maddie slammed the door in Ella's face.
