Maddie gasped and fainted when she saw Cryssalis discovering the trident.
"Maddie!" Daniel gasped.
He bit his lip and turned toward Cryssalis, praying to the gods that she wouldn't pick it up.

"Thanks for trying, Maddie. It's hopeless." Daniel said.
"Hopeless? No, it's not!! You come back here!!" Maddie said, grabbing Daniel's arm.
"Maddie, I crossed the limits this time. I'll just hide until Poseiden decides to kill me." Daniel scowled.
"Fine. Go ahead and die. You're just a quitter."
Daniel shoved Maddie and walked away.
"What happened to not attacking girls?!?"
"I make a exception for you."

Maddie stood frozen for a second, then she took out her hairbrush.
"You'll have to go through ME before leaving." Maddie growled.
Daniel snorted.
"A hairbrush?"
Maddie brushed it down her hair, and when she took it away it turned into a golden sword.
"Heh, heh. Yep." She said. "A hairbrush."
Daniel took out his sword.
"Wanna play that game? Fine!"

"So you're going to kill me so I won't die?" Daniel asked.
"No, just until you get my point!" Maddie said, swinging her sword again.
"Either way, you're wasting your time."
"Why?"
Daniel swung his sword hard at Maddie.
"Because I'll beat you."
Maddie kicked Daniel to the ground.
"I think not."
