The room had a bitter aroma of blood and medicine. Random parts of teddy bears were littered across the floor, and on the walls pictures hung of Maddie's family. On each one Maddie wrote, 'I HATE YOU', and on the mirror she wrote, 'I HATE MYSELF.' The desk had random blades with red rust on them, and the bed was covered in faded maroon stains.

Charlie walked to the dining room, where there were two plates of perfectly cooked pancakes and bacon and two plates of stale bread and burnt eggs.
Daniel stabbed his pancake. "We'll have to attack camp earlier, Charlie."
Charlie frowned. "Why?'
"Maddie already got the cure to Annabeth and herself," Daniel said. "Stupid shadow-travel."
"Children of Hades suck," Charlie muttered angrily.

Leo frowned. "How soon?" he asked.

Thyra walked into the infirmary, and she frowned when she saw that Annabeth still hadn't woken up. She quickly ran to Celeste's cabin and knocked on the door.

"You mean steal?" Charlie frowned.
"Yes, I mean steal," Daniel rolled his eyes. "I have a driver's license, anyway."

Celeste frowned, and ran to the infirmary.

Annabeth was extremely pale, and still unconscious. Her leg did indeed look a lot worse.

Daniel walked outside and got in the driver's seat, and Charlie sat next to him in the front seat.

Daniel began driving, and he seemed okay at it.
After three minutes, Charlie whined, "When are we going to get there?"
"Charlie, we just started driving," Daniel said.
"I'm getting carsick," Charlie complained.
"Deal with it!" Daniel snapped.

"We can't. The cure was all we had. The cure has to work," Celeste said quietly. "It just has to."

After many long hours, they finally got to the woods that was in front of the camp.
"Should we split up?" Daniel said.
"Splitting up in a woods?" Charlie said. "Have you ever SEEN a horror movie? We stick together."

"Just wait until she wakes up," Celeste said. "That's all we can do. It'll be hard fighting without her, but we'll manage."
