"We're gathering at the camp fire," Chiron said. "There's an announcement."
"Oh, no," Maddie muttered, and walked to the camp fire.

"And the Egyptians," Maddie said. "Plus, it could be someone else besides demigods killing us off. The gods, maybe."
"The gods would never do that," Moon frowned.
"What good did the gods ever do for us?" Maddie suddenly snapped. "Nothing. They don't care about us."
"I still think it's unlikely," Chiron said.
