"That's good." Maddie said quickly, drinking a can of Coke. There was a bit of frosting on her nose, and she kept tapping her foot, like she had a lot of energy. "Someone in the Aphrodite cabin gave me a cupcake." Maddie grinned. "She said it made me crazy." Maddie said, taking another sip of her Coke can. "I'm already crazy. The cupcake totally didn't have any effect." Maddie said, still talking quickly.

Annabeth found it hard to breathe again. Her chest felt tight, and every breath hurt a bit. She buried her head in her arms, hoping to hide the fact that it hurt.
